Wheels of Success’ Vehicles for Veterans Program Brings Hope to Navy Vet with Help from STCOC!

The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the Committee for the 19th Annual Fall Golf Classic presented by Caldeco and ZapCap selected Fulfill Your Destiny as their beneficiary charity.

The first recipient, Rebecca O. received hers on Veteran’s Day when four Community Partners joined forces and presented a Car to a Local U.S. Navy Veteran through the Wheels of Success’ Vehicles for Veterans Program. Wheels of Success teamed up with DAV Charitable Services Trust, Powerstories Theatre, and Fulfill Your Destiny to honor Rebecca O.

Rebecca O. is single mother of two young boys and a U.S. Navy veteran.  After moving to the Tampa Bay area to escape an abusive relationship, Rebecca O. found full-time employment with Walt Disney, as she describes “a happy place to work”.  Though Rebecca O. could take the bus to work, her late hours left her stranded with no way to return home.  The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay referred her to Wheels of Success in hopes of finding a transportation solution because being able get to and from work – at any hour – is vital to keeping working families on the road to success.
